About Us

The Iraqi Secular Project is an umbrella for a network of initiatives and institutions working to establish the foundations of secularism in Iraq. At its core is the October 2025 Movement, the first explicitly secular political party committed to free-world principles, democracy, and resisting Iranian hegemony and religious influence in governance. Led by Talal Al-Hariri, alongside a dynamic coalition of intellectuals and young leaders, the project seeks to mobilize internal and international support to drive comprehensive change and safeguard democracy.

Today, the project represents a pioneering vision, uniting individuals and national forces that share its values. It serves as the nucleus for Iraq’s transformation, championing the revival of the Mesopotamian identity, pluralism, peaceful coexistence, and socioeconomic prosperity. With an unwavering commitment to building a modern, inclusive Iraq, we welcome all Iraqis who believe in this mission to take part in shaping a future that reflects our highest aspirations.
